3- to4 and did you find 3 HARD.

youve prob noticed me lurking on no.4 threads!

I have thre eldest 5in in june youngest 1 next month.

I have found three HARD, think prob the hardest jump for me, it maybe because at first i had three under 4 and all three at home for the first 6mth.

Also no.3 has been the worst sleeper out of the three just starting to drop night feeds.

But i do love having three and have always thought i would love four BUT im very torn at what to do.

Stick with my gorgeous 3 now things are getting easier or go for no four at the risk over sending myself over the edge lol.

Think if we won the lottery, the stork delivered the baby so no pregnancy and a few less sleepless night were involved it would be a no brainer Also if i hard found the transition to three as easy as the transistion to two i prob would be less apprehensive.

I suppose it seems as though there isnt enouigh of me to go round now at time, and we arent really hard up but dont have spare cash for extra activities etc, BUT just cant get the no4 out of my head

My 3 youngest are 5, 3 & 19 months. The 5 year old has Downs too so its more like 2x 3 year olds and a 19 month old and I am PG again (with no6)

yeah some days are mighty stressy and bedtime cant come around quick enough..

No one can say what you can cope with except for you, if some one told me 5 years ago I was going to have 6 kids I would have laughed in their faces,.. there would be no way at all :p but I am here alive and all the kids are alive :p

If its what you want, you will adapt.

Good days i love it and think it would be fine (post pregnancy)Bad days i think how can i consider a fourth my hands are full lol.

Mine are 8,5,3 and 8 months.

I too found the transition to 3 the hardest.

I did find it harder than the transition to four.

The hardest part I found about going to 3 was the time it took to go anywhere, found this all stressful, particularily when trying to get them all out to drop one at school, or nursery.

Found going to four much easier. It takes just as long to get 3 out the door as it does four (ok slightly longer but not much).

I do find there is more washing which never ends but then I probably can't remember back to how much I did with 3.

Personally I felt my life changed once I had 3 to really revolving around my children and not much else. My life is still the same with 4.

I am very proud of my four and love being out with them all. They make me smile and shout more than I ever could have imagined and am so pleased we now have four.

Don't know how I will feel with nearly 4 teenagers but for now it is all good .

Oh and sorry to add one last bit. I was dreading number 4 coming. Really panicked that I would not cope because I found having 3 hard and found number 3 really hard work. She was such an unhappy baby. No matter what I did she just cried (for well over a year).

As i say, it was nowhere near as hard as I had imagined.

Currently got 3, #4 landing in July.

The washing is pretty constant now so I can't imagine it'll get that much worse with 4!

I must admit, 2-3 was not a massive issue but then mine are 13, 10 & nearly 4 so I had none of the jealousy I'm expecting this time!

Financially we're in a rubbish position at the moment. DH is not working (all happened since we were trying - stopped trying but, what do you know, it was too late!)

It will be fine. We live in chaos anyway so what harm will a little more do?!

Mine are 10, 9, 7 and 9 months. I didn't find two to three a big jump, even though I had three under 3. The age gap means that I haven't found three to four a problem - in fact it has been brilliant .

One to two was a bit of a shocker though,

Buttonmoon. All you need to say is you are nearly 40 and you would be me, except that my youngest is 2. I agree about the washing, their is so much at the moment that one more can't make much difference.

I think if we did go for number4 (feeling more probably after watching 1born last night...i really shouldnt watch that programme its so encouraging)

It would ideally be better sooner rather than latter as otherwise i owuld worry it would be more like 3 plus one if that makes sense. The gaps between mine are 21mth and 24mth. DD1&2 play well and are close most of the time . I already woory ds may be lefton the side lines! Especially with allthe negativity waved around about being one of three!!

I hindsight i suppose 2 then a few yr gap then another two may have been ideal BUT saying that i love how close they are is bloody ard at times but nice they are at simialr developmental level and like simialar things.

But keeping the age gaps close would mean giong for another in the next few months, not feeling convinced enoug i want to to take the plundge yet!

Part of me wonders if its jsut because im getting a bit more sleep now it seems like i would like another lol as when dc3 was a couple of months old i would have said 99% no more!

Think ive always felt broody around this time maybe its hormonal and will dissapear in a few month!? Never waited to find out
