Hi all. Am after some advice. We have to move our DD who has had 2 years private schooling - to a state secondary school (a family member paid for the 2 yrs and can no longer, it is impossible for me to afford) My preference is a Jewish school like JFS/JCoss. We have the signed forms etc from our synagogue. However been told they are all over subscribed and not taking new students. Am super stressed at the idea of state schools as have read so much about school anti-semitism. My child is quiet and I have seen the teacher's union conferences, honestly to the point I am wandering if she doesn't get into a JFS/JCoss what do I do. Does anyone know which Barnet schools (girls or co-ed) have a decent size number of Jewish pupils? Her primary school was state and had a decent Jewish and Israeli community and there was not any open antisemitism, but that was before 7 Oct and it has become normalised and open.
Is anyone familiar with Copthall Girls or QE Girls school? I have done all the OFTSTED research it is the anti-semitism that is worrying me as my child has a soft soul. Barnet have told me if she doesn't get her first choice and I have left other choices blank then they will simply allocate whatever school is available. (they cannot help with my antisemitism fears).
Would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance from any mums and parents. (We did not go to school in the UK and this is our first experience of the school system.)
