Skipton (Channel Islands) and similar

This is more a question for expats I think.

I'm going to be receiving some money early-ish next year.

I don't live in the UK but may be returning in 5 years, at which time I will want to buy a house, so I'm looking into how to best invest the sum, approx. 200k, in the meantime.

I'm wary of ETFs for such a short period.

I'm not tax resident in the UK and where I live the savings rates are very poor.
I've come across Skiptons International, based in the Channel Islands, which offers 4.75% on a 200 day notice account.

Is this a reputable bank? Has anyone here used them?

@NiceNestEgg yes we use Skiptons in Guernsey as we are resident there. They are vey efficient, have great reviews and their online access is easy. Their rates are quite favourable. I think (although not 100%) that you do have to hold either a UK or CI bank account with another bank in order for them to pay proceeds/income to. Have a look at their website and contact them for further details. They are a subsidiary of Skiptons Building Society.
