Non-Resident Investing

Hoping the hive mind can help me with this....
I am a UK citizen, but left over ten years ago and now live in Asia.
I have a UK bank account and seperate share dealing account (X-O.co.uk)
I currently have a number of UK listed shares and a full holding of premium bonds, but would like to diversify and also buy some UK gilts.

At the moment, I don't complete any tax forms because the dividends I receive from my shares are 'disregarded income' and any winnings from premium bonds are also tax free.

I have read that UK gilts are "Free Of Tax to Residents Abroad" ... can anyone confirm this and give me peace of mind.

I don't have any other income from the UK.

Also, if any has other suggestions about how to invest as a Non-resident it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
