Hoping someone can answer a couple of questions on crowd funding. Im looking at investing £2k into a company. I have a good feeling about it and have registered with crowd cube. I've done a bit of research and I know if the company fails I've lost my money. I can afford it, but obviously don't want that to happen. I think the idea is that this company will float and the shares will then have a value. My questions are, if the company is successful but doesn't float, what happens to my money can I just leave it as an investment and take it back if I want to at a later date, and secondly what if this company gets bought out by another one what happens then?

You won't be able to withdraw the money until an event that the company agrees terms to allow it I.e they decide to buy back the shares or a company is taken over and the new owners purchase up the shares.

Along the way you may get dividends or they also revalue the company along the way I.e Moneybox issued some shares a couple of years back via crowdcube and at a subsequent revaluation the £1 shares are now worth £1.50 for example (example figures)
