I wondered if there's anyone on here with experience as a financial advisor who can answer this (hopefully short) question?
My DH, on the suggestion of a financial advisor, put some of his pension into the Columna Commodities Fund - now in liquidation as I understand it.
My DH has now been contacted by a firm offering to represent him, along with others, to attempt to recover something from the fund: the firm is Intel Suisse. They ask for 17 percent of any recovered sums.
I wanted to ask: if you work in the industry, do you know that firm, and does 17 percent sound like a reasonable figure? How would you go about getting advice or representation in this situation, is there anywhere else we can go? I'm quite adrift with all this unfortunately - if it was the UK I would know where to find information but we're in one country, the fund is in another...
That is for any help!
