Anyone know anything about match betting?

My savings are making NOTHING. I'm trying to think out of the box for new ideas to get a reasonable return. Just wondered if any of you lovely ladies had tried this?

No do not do this- it will never pay you back!!

that's the problem - mathmatically you're guaranteed to make a return if you use free bets from bookies - check this out:

You need to be careful as well with the T&Cs of free bets etc; many sites have a clause in that will let them avoid paying out if they think you are abusing them, similarly they are often a 'one off/firts time customer only' type offer so you will have to spend a lot of time registering on sites and depositing cash to try to cover your risk.

Theoretically it can be done but things to check include:

• can you get the odds you need to cover the risk, especially if it involves lay bets, odds move quickly online and the odds in the tip may not be available by the time you go to place the bets

• if you're having to make lay bets on an exchange like BetDaq to guarantee the return, you will still need all the funds to cover the lay payout if the back bet is on a different site/with a tradtional bookie

• make sure you're betting with sites that are reputable. Look at something like Bookmakersreview.com for reviews. See where the sites are licensed - there is a 'white list' which might help www.onlinecasinowhitelist.com/

• check deposit/withdrawal/transaction charges. If you're trying the small value lots of bets approach you don't want to find you're winnings are eaten up by commission, withdrawal fees etc.

• read up on the stuff around safe gambling - sites from whitelisted jurisdictions will have stuff on there about 'responsible gambling', use things like desposit/loss limits etc if you need to

• in a similar vein, don't gamble with what you can't afford to lose. I bet a bit but I always look at it as 'the price of some fun' - other people might spend £10-15 on going to the movies or something, I chose to sometimes spend it betting, but if I lose the £15 I don't then deposit another £15 to try to win it back [hsmile]. A good discipline is to keep scrupulous records of all your bets and winnings/losses. The minute you find yourself not wanting to write a loss down take that as a warning sign!

It may be worth trying this out 'on paper' for a couple of weeks to see if you can make it work. Subscribe to the tip/freebet sites, and write down all the bets you would have made, note down the results (including deducting commission/transaction charges, losses etc) and see how it looks.

This will be timeconsuming to do, especially in terms of finding out the results and working out the net win/loss but tbh if you find that too much of a hassle then you probably wouldn't be able to stick at it 'for real' for very long either [hgrin].

Just a quick update, I have found and signed up for a website that has done this all for me.

Made £52 so far, which is very promising :)
