We have not long had a failed cycle. I have PCOS and my husband is a CF carrier with azoospermia. We have frozen sperm collecting in 2019.
This time there seemed to be an issue with egg maturity. Medication was changed around when it probably shouldn’t have but it was a new clinic.
Ive had issues previously where I didnt have enough follicles so aborted cycle. this has been our history:-
NHS
- Fotismon 150 - poor response so aborted
- Meriofert 225 - 13 eggs collected, 11 mature. 2 frozen day 5 embryos. 2 failed frozen transfers
- Meriofert 225 - poor response so aborted
PRIVATE CLINIC
- Menopur 225, increased to 300. 14 eggs collected, 11 mature. 2 top quality embryos. One resulted in our son and the frozen then our daughter
NEW CLINIC
- Meriofert 150, increased to 225 and then again to 300. 14 eggs collected but only 4 mature and then transfer on day 2 which failed.
The clinic have said we can go back to what we did on our successful cycles but I’m still concerned about egg maturity. I’m 31, AMH is 32.
We have 3 vials of frozen sperm left. Unsure what to do now. We want a third child and feel like this last attempt was just a car crash so we feel we want to give it another go.
we changed clinics as our clinic got taken over by a national company, massive increase in prices.
has anyone got any views on this or advice?
