More than one pregnancy from a cycle?

Hi all,
Hope everyone’s doing ok. None of this is easy xo
I would love to hear if there are any of you who had multiple pregnancy’s from the same cycle. I’m torn on whether we do another egg retrieval or use what we have. We have two remaining embryos from a cycle that gave us our son and a devastating diagnosis of the fatal condition anencephaly for our little girl. I just wonder if there’s any hope at all with what’s remaining. Feel hopeless and exhausted xx

Yes i have. Back at the end of 2020 and early 2021 i did 2 cycles. The first cycle didnt work, i had one embryo transferred and it ended in a mc at 9 weeks, a second embryo didnt work and the 2 the last 2 embryos didnt survive thaw . But my second round gave me my son who was in 2022, had an angel baby in 2023 and my daughter in 2024. I got 5 eggs in my second round, gave me 4 embryos, my son was a day 3 fresh transfer, then the other 2 were fet and then we did transfer the 4th embryo in november 2024 but ended in a chemical and unfortuntely we have not had success since . I would use the embryos you have unless your planning on having more children, but one of those embryos could work but if you do another egg collection, you could end up with a lot more embryos then you know what to do with if that makes sense.

I am so sorry for your loss. We had something similar happen to us the only time we conceived naturally and I don’t know if I will ever get over it. Sending strength, it’s such a tough journey but there is light at the end of the tunnel even if it’s hard to see when you are in it. I did have 3 pregnancies from one cycle, out of 4 eggs. Egg collection in 2021: my daughter was a 3 day fresh transfer, born in 2022. 2nd FET in 2024 was an early miscarriage. 3rd FET didn’t work. 4th was my son born in 2025.

I consider myself lucky. I guess it also depends on your age, circumstances etc but I would maybe give it a go with the eggs you do have? X
