Better to inject morning or evening?

I'm due to start my injections any day now and I'm not sure if it's best to do it in the morning, or the evening. I'd prefer to do it in the morning as then it's over and done with and I don't need to think about it all day. I have flexible working hours so was planning on doing it around 9am as then I'm not getting up super early at the weekend, but am I missing a trick? Is evening better for any reason?

Oooh - have your clinic not advised? I had to do mine evenings, and then when the one is added in to stop ovulation I had to do that mornings. I never questioned whether it was essential to do them that way around!

Your clinic will advise timings of injections and any other medications you may be prescribed. Good luck.

Oh really! I'm in France and so far they're not a talkative bunch. Will await their direction then, thank you!

Another question, please - my husband will be doing the injections for me, is it better if I'm standing up or lying down?

Can I suggest you consider doing them yourself?

Most of mine were in my abdomen or thighs, I used to sit and pinch the flesh and do it.

If you have to inject progesterone in oil or anything stingy you can numb the area with an ice cube.

The first few times just have your injections on a clear surface, if you have to mix any then give yourself a moment to do that.

A lot of the injections are injection pens which are really easy. Even the more 'complicated' ones are not so difficult.

Also set alarms in your phone to do them at a set time. You might also have pessaries to insert depending on your protocol.

I'm a bit of a wuss with needles, to be honest. I may be happy to try it out on myself at some point, but I've been very happy to just offload this task to my husband and make it all his responsibility, including the poking!

Thanks so so much for the tips! I have ice packs, ice cubes and some numbing cream all ready to go should I need any of them. DH is in charge of the reminders (he's a spreadsheet man so I have full faith) and I've got a packet of Lindt balls waiting for me as a little treat after each injection :)
