Wales Fertility Institute - BBC article

Hi, I came across this article this morning on the WFI "4 week pause" due to staff shortages which raises all sorts of questions...

BBC News

I was due to have the follow up virtual appointment booked in either last week or this week, with treatment due to start no later than beginning of November. I got in touch today and apparently diaries for appointments will now 'reopen from 5th October', presumably so they can prioritize those currently undergoing treatment.

Incredibly frustrating and must be horrendous for those who were just about to start treatment and have it delayed at the 11th hour.

Is anyone else under WFI that is affected by this or even been told by the WFI? I'd be none the wiser if I hadn't seen the BBC article.

Fertility patients facing delays over staff absence

One patient said it was "very upsetting" to be told of the delay "within days" of planned treatment.
