Can anyone recommend consultants who have an interest in inflammation? I’m keen for someone who takes inflammation serious, looks at whole endometrium but I’m not at level of implantation failure of recurrent miscarriage so unsure where one stops and one starts their specialisms.
I’ve had chats with Dr Salim at Portland and Dr Shirin Khanjani at Fitzrovia Fertility based on friends. However I’m not sure they are quite right in their specialisms (low egg count and focus on retrieval). And Dr Dimitri at Artemis recommended but is full for first consultations until next year.
Context: I suffered a second trimester miscarriage early last year, due to an ascending infection (a separate conversation with PALS related hospital complaints), since had recurrent UTI on prophylactic antibiotics indefinitely that have ruined my gut (and thrush!), despite doing everything I can with probiotics. Had a fibroid removed last summer and previous endo a few years ago but supposedly (I just don’t trust the US scans!) not returned. I’m not someone who has recurrent miscarriage issues, I haven’t been pregnant since, and obvs haven’t had implantation failure yet but this is where I feel my issue now lies with not getting pregnant again - through my whole experience the last few years my gut (figuratively here!) has been right. AMH 17, AFC8, NK cells via bloods fine (Shehata), HyCoSy clear, Ureaparvum detected and cleared.
