Testing out trigger - Zivafert 5,000 - why did I do it 😩

I had my trigger on the 23rd July at about 2pm. Then had my transfer on the 29th July. This was a modified natural FET. I’m now 12 days past trigger and 6 days past transfer. I feel so so angry with myself and I told myself I wouldn’t test at all until the OTD but something in me told me to test this morning so I did 🫠 it’s positive but that doesn’t actually help me at all as I have no idea if the trigger is out of my system yet! So instead I had a cry in the shower and refuse to test again because my heart can’t take it 😂

You trigger should be out of your system at this stage. Most cases the trigger is gone by day 10 after the shot and its not usually dark so I would say congratulations, thats a positive test. You could test again in a couple of days and see if it gets darker? When is beta?

A couple of people have told me theirs took until 14 days 😩 so I’m very much still in the praying it’s a true positive stage! Yeah I’m going to keep testing every day now and see what happens. Unfortunately my clinic don’t do beta, most clinics don’t in the UK for some reason

I’ve done another test this morning and honestly it hasn’t given me an answer at all as it looks about the same. Plus first response tests take hours to form clear lines. I’ve also done some boots tests but again it doesn’t really clarify anything. God this is so hard!!

Hi! My FRER tests were on the same days as yours 6dpt and 7dpt and look very similar. I've attached a photo incase you want to compare. The top photo is 6dpt, bottom is 7dpt when I also used easy@home to start comparing as FRER are so expensive! If anything 7dpt might even be a bit lighter on the FRER compared to 6dpt, but when comparing days on the easy@home going forwards the lines got stronger. Comparing every two days seems to help more! Just replying in solidarity! I also said I’d wait for the test day and ended up testing on day 6 and getting a VERY white negative.
tested positive on day 8 in the end.
didn’t see darkening or “progression” at all btw, only time I could perceive that was I did a test on about day 18 as I was worried and that was much darker than my day 11 (test day) positive xx

I can see why your a bit unsure about what way things are going. But try to compare tests eveey second day and see if there is a difference. Il keep my fingers xd that this your positive .

I think they’re darker now but I’m still questioning everything. I’ve also booked in for some private bloods next week as well to ease my mind. The first response is day 6 and 8 (today) and the boots tests are yesterday and today. X

Thats looking alot better. Can definitely see its gotten much darker. Im not sure why the uk don't do betas. I think its a great idea to gets private bloods.

FWIW your day 8 is welldarker than my test day (11) positive!! And it looks like a very similar if not the same brand.
but yes get a blood test the reassurance will do you a world of good.
does your clinic give an early scan? That was 2.5 weeks after my test day for me so that was something manageable to work towards before my 12 week scan

It’s day 10 now and very dark 🤞🏻 I find it really odd they don’t do betas! It’ll cost me an extra £200 but nearly £15k down what’s £200 haha

This is my day 10 and I can finally kind of start to relax and accept this may be happening! Fingers crossed my beta will help confirm it as well. Yes they offer a scan between 7.5-8 weeks which gives me a bit of anxiety so I may also book a private scan as well. Which is what I done when I was pregnant with my daughter at 6.5 weeks, I struggled to believe there was an actual baby in there 😂

Also this isn’t my home 😂 we’re currently away on a caravan holiday haha

@cornish13, I feel so seen! I have my FET on 2nd August. Im 14dp Zirafert trigger and 8dp5dt. I caved and took a test, its so so faint but now I am so annoyed that Im either seeing a line that's not theee or it could be the final parts of the trigger.

It’s honestly so annoying when you do yourself dirty and you literally have no one else to blame!! I had to ride it out and test every day to see the line getting darker, which it did 🤞🏻 I would say 14 days past trigger would be nearly out of the woods though. Did you morning test? I find my evening tests are a lot lighter, I’m a morning tester

@Cornish13 I'm so annoyed at myself, I was convinced I would make it to 14 days without testing. I tested in the evening and have just tested again, I think it's darker but will have to keep testing now to make sure its not the trigger shot. Today would be 15 days past trigger and 9 days post transfer. Wishing you lots of luck for your bloods this week too!!

I would say the trigger is out! I also despise those kind of pregnancy tests. I’d personally go and buy some different ones. I like the first response or boots own, they give much better lines which I find more reassuring x

I’ve been using these first response and someone else at the same clinic as me
on the same timeline has been using these boots ones. She was using the easy@home
but soon realised the lines were crap on them

@Cornish13 thanks so much im going to get some of these! I actually found a clearblue one with the lines, I have just done it and it came up pregnant almost instantly. Keeping everything crossed the trigger wouldnt be too strong to do this!
