Has anyone had an egg collection while unwell?

I'm on day 5 of stimms and have woken up
with a completely congested chest and my voice has gone. Now totally panicking that my cycle will be cancelled as I don’t think it’s usually considered a good idea to have any kind of anaesthetic with breathing problems.

Has anyone else had similar?

Im back at the clinic in the morning for a scan and bloods so I’m sure it’ll come up then but feeling very stressed today!

I think it will depend when your egg collection is. How long are you on stims? What day potentially is your trigger shot on? By the time you have egg retrieval you could have come out the other end of the illness as long as its not some sort of infection.

Oh how stressful, I hope you are feeling better? Has the clinic been in touch?

Thanks for your replies ladies! Just updating in case anyone searches for an outcome on this in the future. My egg collection still went ahead yesterday despite me having tonsillitis. I was over the worst but still quite unwell and the anaesthetist was great to reassure me my breathing would be fine

That's good to hear. Take it easy now, I know it's tough as the waiting is terrible but look after yourself. Are you aiming for a fresh or frozen transfer?
