No Embryos

Hi everyone,

Feeling super deflated and sad after our call from the embryo lab. We had our egg retrieval yesterday with only 3 eggs. Of the 3 only 2 were mature, 1 didn’t fertilise and the other is abnormal. This was my second round of IVF and not had results like this before. My AMH is low and I understand I won’t produce a lot of eggs but was hopeful we would get something. Just feel like we wasted a lot of time and money on this round and honestly feel so defeated. I just don’t know what to do next

Hello. My figures are a little different but outcome was the same, zero embryos after 5 days. This was our first round. Have you made an appointment to discuss with your consultant? By the time we had our follow up, she had had a meeting with the embryologists to discuss where things went wrong and we made a plan for what to do differently next time. Did you make changes from your first round which I think you’re saying was more successful?

Im so sorry you didnt get any embryos. I remember my first cycle coming back to ivf for another baby I had 0 fertilistion out of the most eggs iv ever collected. Then the second cycle i got 2 embryos but one didnt work and the other ended in a mc at 7 weeks. My 3rd cycle made very poor embryos that didnt pass to be frozen so we transfered one and of course it didnt work . Im about to do my 4th egg collection with an increase of medications. This will be my last cycle.
