Isthmocele/c section scar defect/ niche and ttc

Has anyone else had a uterine niche / scar defect from a c section, and managed to get pregnant without a repair? Particularly for those that had spotting/symptoms. Just looking for some positive stories and experiences.

I am currently awaiting surgery to have my c section defect repaired after 2 years TTC. The IVF clinic has said they won't do IVF until I've had the repair because the niche will stop the embryo implanting but feel there's a high chance of conceiving naturally after the repair without the need for IVF. Saying that the surgeon made it very clear that he has seen women with niche's get pregnant naturally without the repair.
