Starting IVF when due for gallbladder removal surgery?

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience, we were due to start our IVF journey in the next month, I had a gallstone inflammation 5 weeks ago (all settled now) but have been advised need to have gallbladder removed. Ideally I would like to continue with my egg retrieval and then have the gallbladder surgery before waiting a few months for
the embryo transfer, I am however worried that the medication pre egg retrieval will worsen any issue I could potentially have. Does anyone have any experience with this?
thanks ☺️

Not the same but sort of. I was already pregnant and didnt know when I had my gallbladder removed, and I was septic and nearly lost my life and had to be hospitalised and be on all sorts of drips. I went on to have 2 different surgeries for different things and full exposure to radiation and medications before I found out I was in my second trimester of pregnancy. The gallbladder usually reacts to foods/drinks and oils you consume and the hormone medications should not induce a flair up, but your fertility doctor should give you all the information around this. When I slipped a couple disk before starting my last ivf treatment, I needed to have a steroid injection in my back, my doctor sent me back to my fertility dr to make sure it was alright to have before starting treatment and possibly falling pregnant. There fertility dr gave the full go ahead and gave me a lot of information around it. So definitely reach out to your your fs
