Norethisterone before IVF (short protocol)

Hi all,

Just a question about norethisterone in the cycle before starting stims. If you are told to start taking it mid-cycle, can you still try naturally that cycle?

I know they'll go through it all at the planning meeting but I'm impatient to know whether I'm likely going to be able to start the cycle of my nurse planning meeting or if I'll have to wait another month!

I was on a short protocol for my recent egg collection with care fertility and was asked to start taking norethisterone on day 18 of my cycle. At my nurse planning meeting I was at day 3 of my cycle and already had the medication delivered so I didn't have to wait.

Thanks @Tipu87 did you have to use protection that cycle before starting the norethisterone?

Yes at the nurse instructed that , I just looked at the other instructions I was given and it does state do not take if you think you may be pregnant or have had unprotected sex in the last month.
