IVF Trigger Nightmare

I’ve had an absolute ivf nightmare… took decapeptyl as a trigger shot tonight…
I was supposed to take 0.2ml and got a box with 2 vials of powder, 2 bottles of solvent and no instructions. I mixed it all and measured out 0.2. Turns out I was only supposed to use one bottle of solvent for the 2 vials of powder. The emergency line is not answering and I’m terrified I’ve ruined everything.
please help me. Is it all over for this cycle?

You’ll be fine. The solvent won’t dilute the strength of the powder

barofsoap · 18/06/2026 13:36

so if you used all the powder and twice the solvent then the strength will be 50%

@barofsoap no it wouldn’t. Solvents do not concentrate not dilute the powder. It just acts as a mode to move the powder into the body

if (say) there are 10mg of powder and you are supposed to dilute it in 1ml of solution then in 0.2mls there would be 2mg of powder

if you added 2mls of solution to the powder then in 0.2mls there would only be 1mg powder
