Hysteroscopy

Hello there. We have recurrent miscarriage issues and recently had our 7th miscarriage at 11 weeks, measuring perfectly, tested normal, this time with a donor egg. I have been told by my IVF consultant that I need a Hysteroscopy to check for anything that might be going on inside my uterus. The place she recommended in London was £3,100. We simply can’t afford that after so many rounds of IvF and then IvF with donor eggs. Am thinking about going abroad but lots of places don’t offer sedation and others will only do diagnostic initially, or you have to go for a consultation in person first and fly out again etc. I am exhausted researching it all. I’m keen to get the ball moving as quickly as I can, as this has been 5 years of trying now and we just need answers.. But, I also feel really nervous and need to go somewhere trustworthy and kind. Can anyone recommend somewhere abroad please? Or somewhere in the UK for cheaper than 3k?! Thank you so much in advance. xx

I had the same issue but then I paid for a private scan and they found a large polyp which meant I got it free, on nhs and under anaesthetic. Previously I'd looked at a couple of places abroad which were much cheaper and used sedation. Unlike UK where there is an active campaign against painful hystercopies. That said, some women find it manageable. Prague looked good, I think it began with B the actual place. Brno? Think it was reprofit?

Have you looked at the website your IVF journey? I'm not endorsing or recommending them but I recall they had a lot of good info on their site and they offer a support service with agency fee for this in Prague. Think is just under 1000 euros for operative one with anaesthetic. Plus fee.

When my ivf clinic (private not NHS funded) said i needed a hysteroscopy due to suspected adhesions the doctor wrote a letter for my gp asking for a referral for the procedure. I had to wait a couple of months but got it done on the NHS. Might be worth asking if they could do that?
