What was your progesterone before FET?

So I’ve climbed into a bit of a rabbit hole & would love some opinions and what your progesterone levels have been like vs outcome.

I’ve had 3 unsuccessful FETs in a row.

1st: Chemical pregnancy - 56.5 nmol/L

2nd: MMC @ 8wks - 45.7 nmol/L

3rd: Negative - 119 nmol/L

This is the exact same protocols, same level of progesterone. I’m not sure why my last cycle is such a jump up from the others.. but I’ve read that too high, specifically >100 can have a negative effect on outcomes. Nothing well researched or published of course, just things people have said on forums and from their clinic etc.

Would love to hear some other stories! I’m having another FET this month and don’t want to spiral over my progesterone level as well as everything else to spiral over 🫠

Hello there.
im so sorry for all your losses.
i just had my first fresh transfer and was advised my progesterone had peaked too high at trigger with levels of 4.9 nmol and not to proceed and freeze all
i researched, went against this and sadly had a failed transfer
xx

Just checking what format you are using as the levels above seem really high for nmol (UK) and ng/ml (USA)
xx

I guess I’m talking about before pregnancy and trigger time but I think it’s still useful as it probably stems back to this as maybe your lining is out of sync to accept the pregnancy xx

Yes I think fresh transfer is different @LFlynn91 as like you said it means your lining is out of sync.
These were the results my clinic gave me and the unit seems to correlate to numbers I’ve seen online too!

@mumtrovert how old are you? May be chromosomal issue

mumtrovert · 06/06/2026 11:10

@PlanBFertility26 they’re from embryos made when I was 30. I’m 34 now. They’re untested but I have a DS from the same batch of embryos (my fresh transfer). I did think maybe I’ve just been unlucky and had 2x abnormal in a row.

@mumtrovert the lottery if it all makes it even more stressful. Wishing you all the best x

i was with CRGH who test it on the day of FET transfer and like it to be over 100. On my BFN cycles it was under 100 (can’t remember exact numbers) and they called me in to collect more progesterone medication. On my BFP cycle it was over 100. My consultant told me as a clinic their approach is that they like it quite high whereas I don’t think other clinics are like that.

That’s really helpful @bolognazey thank you! I hadn’t heard of any with that kind of threshold. I think my clinic is about 30, which I’ve read on here from others too. I just wondered if it would’ve had an adverse effect but if your clinic like it above 100 it can’t be bad then.

Mine was 28 the day before FET when taking 2 x Cyclogest a day. Clinic told me to up to 3 pessaries a day and 1 lubion injection a day. Successful FET.

I had a previous unsuccessful FET but didn’t test progesterone levels at all with that one so it’s hard to know what made this one stick - was it the upped progesterone or something else
