Clinic Misled Me and Now Ghosting

Had my embryo transfer yesterday. They informed me the embryo had not reached full blast and it was at morula stage. They said we could proceed with a a fresh using this morula or thaw a frozen embryo. When I arrived to the clinic, they said the morula has since progressed to an early blast so on that basis we decided to move forward with a fresh.

Fast forward and I was told a compacting morula was transferred and they don’t know where I heard the information about the early blast. The doctor who mentioned this to me has gone quiet and I have no answers.

In addition, my progesterone is 191 nmol/L and the clinic like this under 100 but over 30. I asked if you know my progesterone gets so high during fresh cycles who do you keep prescribing me the same dose of medication. No response.

I feel really hopeless and let down. I need some support and encouragement.

Wow! Im so sorry this is happening to you. I have just gone through something similar with my clinic, though they didnt ghost me but they didnt tell me before I got to the clinic that I only had one embryo and it hadn't made it to blast on day 5 but i was already prepared and in the room so I felt I had to move forward but in all honesty I would have probably left it another day and it would very unlikely survived . That transfer didnt work of course and I knew doing the transfer it would never work. Im so mad about it and could have saved my money to go towards a new cycle. I think you might need to change clinics If you are unable to reach them. Sometimes the doctors just push us to keep going when in reality we should be saving ourselves and starting over.

@Miraclemuma03 Sorry to hear or your similar experience. It’s frustrating and I definitely feel let down as I’m sure you did too. We wanted to move clinics but we did the maths and paying to move frozen embryos and going through the stress of starting over elsewhere just seems awfully stressful.

The whole ivf and ttc journey can be stressful but your clinic are meant to make it easier by being available. Hopefully they start communicating with you and you have a successful transfer..

@Miraclemuma03 That is just hurts the most. Making me feel as though I cannot ask questions. They can never admit they’ve made a mistake or misinformed me. It’s frustrating.
