8 mature eggs.. only 3 fertilised with ICSI..

I have one euploid already, but went for another round ven though financially I've had to take out a loan. First round - 9 eggs, 7 mature, 5 fertilised, 3 embryos, 1 euploid. BUT this round, just 2 months later, I got 10 eggs, 8 mature, and found out today ONLY 3 fertilised. I'm devastated. Do you know why this has happened!? is it more likely a sperm or egg issue or a lab issue? We used icsi so I feel this attrition rate is unusually high. I am starting to worry that this round could be a colossal waste of money.

Don’t count yourself out yet. We did ICSI. 5 eggs retrieved, only 1 fertilised and it resulted in a successful pregnancy. All it takes is one

This sounds like my recent round. 7 eggs collected, which I thought was very low, as my previous round I got 18. I was told that 5 were fertilised by ICSI. On the morning of transfer I got a call to say that there were 3 remaining but none had made it to blastocyst. The embryologist said she would give the best looking one a couple more hours in the hope that it would start to expand. Unbelievably, it did and the transfer went ahead. The other 2 were left overnight but started to break down the following day. Nothing in the freezer but I had my 7 week viability scan today and it all looks good!

We had very low fertilization on our first round of ICSI (something like 10 mature and only 1 fertilised). It reached blastocyst but low grade and BFN. Our second round we did PICSI and got 4 blastocysts inc 2 very high grade (and the first to transfer was a BFP and now our lovely boy). 2nd transfer was v recent so fingers crossed for another BFP in a few days.
