Hello, I believe I am currently going through a miscarriage. I have been under a assisted reproduction unit since March 2023 and have recently been referred to a larger hospital after two years of numerous for current miscarriage testing as well as additional infertility testing. I was diagnosed with PCOS and I’ve been on Metformin ever since. My partner has low morphology however last month he repeated this test just to check.
On Thursday of last week I found out that I was pregnant naturally, this is the second pregnancy that I have Had since starting with the assistive reproduction unit. The first time around was an early miscarriage and When this had happened, the doctor told me that any future pregnancies he wanted me to be seen by the early pregnancy unit.
based on my last mental period, I would be six weeks today however I’ve been to the early pregnancy assessment unit and they can’t see a thing. I have been told I have PUL which is pregnancy of an unknown location and no in a uterine pregnancy currently. they have told me that this is either a miscarriage, too early to see anything on the scans or could possibly be an ectopic.
Getting to the bit about IVF, funnily enough, tomorrow is supposed to be the dates that we decide whether we go on three months of tablets or sign forms to start IVF. I’ve tried to get in contact with the hospital to see what I would do since finding out I was pregnant but I haven’t heard anything back. Today I have started bleeding and do genuinely believe that I am potentially miscarrying.
Again, I can’t get in touch with anyone. I just have this fear they will turn me away from the funding appointment if my miscarriage isn’t confirmed (had one set of bloods today and the other on Friday - a day after the appointment)
