Delayed ovulation cycle before FET - Help!

We are hoping to do a FET next month.

Going through IVF as I have no tubes left after multiple ectopics - I get pregnant easily so I know my cycle like the back of my hand.

Had egg collection beginning of Feb. Fresh transfer failed.

I am now on day 24 and I have still not ovulated. Baseline scan at Kings tomorrow. I have had ovulation symptoms on and off for 2 weeks but no LH peak.Temp still low.

i often have longer cycles than 28 days but don’t normally ovulate this late.

We are due to go on Holiday Mid May so we need to get a wriggle on to get on with the FET. I am going to be given Letrozole for my natural modified cycle to make sure I ovulate on time as I do often have cycles on the longer side.

If at my baseline scan tomorrow the follicle that I going to ovulate on is big enough - will they give me an extra dose of trigger to help me ovulate.

i am concious that if the cycle prior to our FET is much longer we may have to cancel the FET all together as it will get too close to when we are due to go away.

i don't want to cancel our holiday as my 3 year old is so excited to go and financially - we couldn’t justify cancelling it!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i find the cycle before I am due to start the treatment the worst bit of IVF at the moment - once you commit to something I just want to get on with it!

It is incredibly common for your cycle following an egg collection / failed fresh transfer to be quite a bit longer than usual. Your body goes through a lot during an egg collection and needs a bit of time to resettle after all the hormones.

Yes I did read that so not completely surprised by what has happened- my question is more then what would my clinic do to try and get the cycle moving onwards to a conclusion.

i have read online that an option could be to trigger ovulation if the follicle is big enough or to trigger a bleed by taking progesterone.

Scan is at 2.40 today so I suppose I don’t have much longer to wait!

@Pregnant4456 did they offer anything? My clinic had always just left my body to recover rather than trying to force it along, as the natural cycle is a bit like a recovery phase. Hope AF has arrived naturally for you
