Medication?

Currently taking progynova, cyclogest and clexane. I’ve recently tested positive and will let clinic know on Monday. Just wondered how long people stayed on medication after a bfp?

Congratulations!

I don't know the answer but following as curious how long clinics have patients on progesterone if you get a BFP. Mine is just the TWW which seems too short.

Not sure about your meds but for progesterone, usually our clinic keep you on it until your first scan at 7 weeks or up to 10 weeks of pregnancy when the placenta takes over. Congratulations on your positive test.

Thanks both 🥰 it’s the first I’ve had after 7 years of treatments so we’re over the moon but I’m anxious at the moment. I think I’ll feel a little better after (hopefully) reassurance at the scan appointment.

thank you. I’ve read that too. I think I’m worried the most about my clexane as I was given it for sticky blood so I’m hoping they’ll continue prescribing.

My clinic keeps people on progesterone until 8th week of pregnancy as standard

Thank you for your responses. They said they’ll provide me with enough for 12 weeks and anything after will need to be discussed with my midwife and it’ll be up to them and the consultant. She said to tell them I am having an ivf pregnancy so that I will be under a consultant too.

Congrats on your positive test! Typically, Progynova and Cyclogest are continued until about 10–12 weeks of pregnancy, while Clexane depends on your personal risk factors and may be continued longer. Your clinic will give the final guidance, so let them know as soon as you can.
