I don’t know why I do it to myself but I caved and started testing from 6dp5dt. For the first time in 7 years of fertility treatments, there’s a positive!! I’m obviously cautiously happy but I’m concerned they still look light for 8dp5dt. Has anyone had faint lines at this stage and gone on to have healthy pregnancies? In order for right to left (newest on left)

Congratulations on your second lines! They’re faint, but they are getting darker (and they look pink, not grey) and I think that’s the important thing. Also, like you say, there’s something amazing about seeing a second line for the first time ever - so take heart from it. One day at a time, but for now it looks like a BFP to me!
I’m also 8dpt. I’ve had mixed results on tests so far, so suspect I’m out, but let’s see. OTD is Friday. When are you? Wishing you lots of luck x

Med9 · 10/03/2026 10:11

@Evi83 thank you 🩷 I’m praying they get darker. It’s our last embryo too. It’s my own fault for testing early but I just can’t help it. I just obsess over it.

Sorry you’re getting mixed results. Have you been doing one daily? Really hope it’s positive for you. Wishing you luck 🍀🤞🏼

The clinic told me 14dp5dt, which is next Monday, but that seems to be a lot later than most clinics advise. So I’m just hoping it gets darker within the next few days really. Hopefully it’ll be good news for you by Friday 🤞🏼

Thanks so much. I've been sort of doing them daily, but stupidly using a mix of tests. I did FRER yesterday (7dp) which was my first v faint, but pink line. Prior to that there had been maybe a hint of an indent on FRER, so it did move in the right direction. I'm currently out of FRER tests. Have some coming today, but I'm out tonight, so kind of hoping they are delivered late so i can't test until tomorrow.
Did an easy@home one this morning and it has a hint of a pink line. Yesterday and day before they were basically white (maybe an indent).
So - for me looks like HCG is moving in the right direction, but it is much much fainter than yours, so I feel like there's not enough HCG - so probably a chemical for me. CB came in negative last night.
Yours look so much more positive. I'm kind of ignoring the middle test, because HCG doubles every 48hrs, so if you compare your first and last test, to me it looks like good progression!
How do people manage to wait until their OTD to test? Such amazing discipline! Agree, Monday is a long way away, but your clinic know what they are doing - and they are definitely right in telling us to wait! Hopefully your tests continue to move in the right direction.
Sorry for the waffle! The obsession is real! x
p.s. last bit of waffle promise: the fact is, currently, your body is producing HCG which is a major milestone in your journey!

Med9 · 10/03/2026 11:07

@Evi83 tentative congrats. Really hope your lines get darker. Probably is best to try stick to the FRERs so you can try see the progression between the previous ones.
Hopefully it does come late so you can text with your fmu.
I know, that’s what I’m trying to look at. I’m trying not to compare to others because that can be hard too and I suppose everyone is different and doesn’t give a definitive answer. Just annoyingly have to wait!!
I know, I have no idea. I’m too obsessive with it and it’s all I can think about.
thank you. Fingers crossed for you too 🩷
Don’t worry, waffle away. It’s a tough journey.
yes, definitely! It’s what’s keeping me going 🤞🏼 also, ditto! Pray it gets darker for us both 🍀🤞🏼

The brain distraction is real. I work from home for myself, so am only accountable to myself.... which means i can just sit here and spend my days on forums, and google and chat gpt Wish i still worked in an office with other people! WAAAAAH!! Hope the next few days passes quickly, with lots of nice line progression for us both! x 🍀

Med9 · 10/03/2026 12:07

@Evi83 I work from home too! Although I know I’d feel worse in an office because I hyper focus on things so I just wouldn’t be talkative and still in my own head ha! My own worst enemy. Yes, fingers crossed for us both 🍀🤞🏼
it feels like a long wait until next Monday! I wish my clinic OTD was this week but I understand why the want to wait until 14dp. Good luck 🥰

Hi!
I also caved and hope to reassure:
on day 6 COMPLETELY negative
on day 8 ridiculously faint, probably most like your day 6.
Clinic wanted test on day 11 which was lighter than your day 8…!
They were tests with a sensitivity of 10 xxx

Med9 · 10/03/2026 14:26

@Renisenb thanks so much for your comment. That is reassuring! 🥰 are you currently pregnant?

Hi yes it really is different for everyone.

baby was measuring 3 days late initially as if they implanted late??
yes currently 20 weeks x

Evi83 · 10/03/2026 14:47

congrats @Renisenb and thank you for sharing .... for someone in a similar boat to the OP, that is giving me hope x

Med9 · 10/03/2026 14:48

@Renisenb thank you 🥰 yes, definitely. I’m trying to focus on it being positive at the moment and just hoping it gets darker over the next few days.

congratulations! Wish you the best for the rest of your pregnancy 🍀☺️ xx

Thank you! I was worried until I saw that scan!! They gave me a second early scan due to them being too small…they were 3 days too small again, but then at NHS scan (exactly 12 weeks) they’d grown 6 days ahead to be 12+3!!
people on Mumsnet seem to be sure it’s over at 5dp5dt but don’t be fooled.

come back and update me if you’re happy to xx

Med9 · 10/03/2026 17:51

@Renisenb I’ll be the same. I think it’s natural after bend on this type of journey to get there. Really happy it’s worked out for you. Nice that positive stories are shared too 🥰

Thank you. I’m still in my (cautiously) happy bubble as I have never had a positive before. I just pray it sticks 🙏🏼 fingers crossed and for @Evi83 🤞🏼

Will update either way so that anyone knows the outcome if they find this thread in the future xx

How are u going @Med9 ? I think im out now. 😔

Med9 · 12/03/2026 08:57

@Evi83 have you done a test this morning? I’m so sorry 🩷

I have had positives that are getting darker but I did a digital this morning at it said 1-2 weeks. I expected it to at least say 2-3 weeks so feel a little anxious. I’m trying to be reassured by the progression on frer though.

Look after yourself. It’s such a horrible thing to go through. 🩷

Waitingforday6 · 12/03/2026 09:09

@Evi83 I'm sorry 😞
@Med9 if you are 10dp5dt today you're just a day over 2 weeks so I wouldn't worry if it doesn't show it quite yet. They show the baby's age not the pregnancy stage (as you are 4 weeks pregnant). Hope it all continues well! 😀

Med9 · 12/03/2026 09:19

@Waitingforday6 thank you so much for your reassurance 🥰

That’s such great news! I’m so happy for you.
For me, I didn’t get the Cb 2-3 weeks until after OTD if I remember. It’ll come! Fingers crossed all goes well for you 🙏🏻 (ps to get that magical word ‘pregnant’ on those CB tests is next level 🌈🫶🏻🙌🏻).

Med9 · 12/03/2026 10:07

@Evi83 thank you so much 🥰 and I’m so sorry it isn’t positive for you this time but I truly wish you all the best for future cycles 🩷🍀

camelinastorm · 12/03/2026 16:37

@Med9 they look fine, I found FR ones quite annoying as the line seems to be always thin.
I’ve not long ago had my last transfer and got a real positive from 6dpt on the cheepo tests as I was done spending £60 on tests just for reassurance
this was my progression but from a totally different brand I’m now 11 weeks I’ve had 3 scans due to reoccurring miscarriage so under the epu from the positive test

super congratulations

Hi @Sunshineboy22 thankfully, they’ve continued to get darker over the days and today’s the same as the line. I’m obviously very happy but still cautious. Praying everything goes ok. Wishing you the best of luck 🍀🥰
