As the title says.
38, severe MFI and low AMH

EC 1 - failed fertilisation. No blasts.
EC 2 - failed fertilisation. No blasts.

New clinic
EC 3 - 80% blast rate (3 embryos)
Transfer 1 - Fresh, day 5 4AB, BFP but miscarried at 7+2
Transfer 2 - FET, BFN
Transfer 3 - FET, BFN

Tempted to go for EC 4 and PGTA any embryos to see if ifs a quality issue, or a uterine issue. Am I mental?

How many eggs are you getting each round? Are you doing Icis with zymot and aoa? I did this on my 5th and final round. My fertilisation rate was around 10 percent on all other rounds and we only got 2 blasts over 4 rounds. On my final round it jumped up to 6 out of 7 fertilised and 3 blasts. I 100 percent recommend those add ons xx

I think if you are even just tempted then u have your answer right there and that you are not yet fully ready to throw in the towel just yet. Sounds like you are already thinking about what to do next too which sounds like a reasonable step forward. Wishing you all the best with whatever you decide to do next xx

@Mrsblobby88 3-7 eggs per round. We did use those which is why we went from no fertilisation to three blastocysts.

If I had the money and emotional capacity then I would go for a other round ❤️

I'm so sorry for your loss xx

Waitingforday6 · 06/03/2026 08:41

I think you should go for another round with ICSI and all the add ons as mentioned above if you feel you are up to it emotionally and financially and if you and your partner are on the same page. 38 isn't old, 3 embryos is a great result and it is likely just a numbers game and the next one could be the one. Did they change your protocol when you changed clinics? I'm really sorry for your loss it's such a hard road 😔 ❤️

PlanBFertility26 · 06/03/2026 08:57

@Waitingforday6 complete new protocol and I’m forever grateful that this gave me my first ever BFP, even though it was only short lived. For 10 weeks, I had a baby inside me 🥰

I’d go again but do pre testing. Immunes, era, Emma, Alice, thrombophelia etc etc.

for us low AMH severe MFI

1st round no blasts
2nd round no blasts
3rd round two embryo, 1 BFN and moved clinic as wasn’t happy

4th round 3 blasts - did PGT testing 1 abnormal, 1 mosaic, 1 inconclusive most likely abnormal.

5th round no blasts

6th round 1 blast - transferred without testing - baby

retested the inconclusive most likely abnormal from round 2 then 2 years later and it came back normal. Transferred and another successful pregnancy.

6 rounds, 3 with no blasts, terrible PgT results- two children. I was 37 and 39 when kids were born.

It sounds like you may regret it if you don’t. Before doing another cycle though, I would look at doing testing with Fertylisis - it costs about £1300 or £1400 but it will give you answers on immunology and microbiome - also reading so many stories about folks that had incompatibility issues with egg and sperm but fertylisis were able to sort this for them .

All it takes is one ☝️ the right one! I think you know what you need/want to do and I’d do the same. I couldn’t live with the ‘what if’… wishing you all the luck in the world 🤞🏻💖
