TTC after HyCoSy?

I’m just wondering if I can get some advice.. I had a HyCoSy test this week, after 2 years of trying post-ectopic pregnancy & salpingectomy. Seemed to go well, but the doctor said to ‘definitely not’ TTC this month (I’m on cycle day 9 so was expecting to TTC in a few days)
I’m confused as I have read so many people falling pregnant the same cycle as their HyCoSy, and I’d hate to miss the chance this month, but obviously don’t want to go against the doctor’s advice..!!!??!
Anyone have any experience?

My dr told me to 'go at it like rabbits' after the HyCosy as apparently it often 'clears the pipes' 🤣 we didn't end up conceiving naturally but not sure why the advice might be different. Perhaps ring up and query?

I thought the definitely not was prior to the procedure. I dont remember being told not to ttc after.

Hi, mine was a couple of years ago now, from memory you absolutely cannot have unprotected sex in the cycle leading up to the procedure as it could wash a fertilised egg into the fallopian tube and cause an ectopic pregnancy, but I can't remember why it would be a problem afterwards other than perhaps irritation or infection. The benefits, if they exist (mainly anecdotal I believe) are said to last for 3 cycles though. I'd definitely listen to the doctor but you could go back and query it.

This is what I'm reading online too!! But after my ectopic I'm terrified of things going wrong again so think I might have to just wait a month to be on the safe side.. :(
I wish I had asked why at the time but I was in a bit of shock tbh, and she wasn't the nicest doctor.
Thank you for all your replies!

Try to get someone to ask on the phone so you don't miss a month

The advice I had was not before the procedure - after was fine. I deliberately scheduled it for a few days before ovulation so that there was time to try after without missing a month.

I also was told fine to try immediately after, and as I was coming up to ovulation at the time of the hycosy we definitely did try that month, unfortunately it resulted in a chemical pregnancy but nothing to do with the hycosy I was told

I had my hyscosy I think day 10? Tried and conceived successfully that cycle. Sadly ended in MMC but I don’t think that was anything to do with the hyscosy xx
