Hi,

I’m due to have the following medications delivered on Thursday but we’re also moving out of our flat that day and our fridge is going into storage. We are staying at my mum’s which is a 45 minute drive away.

Menopur 1200IU
Menopur 600IU
Fyremadel 0.25mg
Ovitrelle 6500IU

I’m just panicking about storing my injections. I might buy a cool bag for transporting them but I’m not sure what size as I’m reading conflicting information about which ones I need to keep in the fridge.

Can anybody help / advise?

Thanks

I would definitely check with your clinic. I’m NHS and I get replies to questions within a day.

Once you unpack the boxes, usually the medication bits that need refrigeration are quite small (as in the syringes etc don’t actually need refrigerated.) but I would definitely check with your clinic, to put your mind at rest.

From my understanding, well our clinic does, is they will have the medications that need refrigerating in cool packs or cool boxes.

I think everything will need refrigerating expect fyremedal (that was my experience anyway). One of my clinics did tell me that it didnt matter for a couple of hours when they dispensed some of the medication in house as I had a 2 hour journey home, and they said that would be fine and just to put it in the fridge when I got home. However, when it was within my control and I was travelling I did tend to put everything in one of those cool bag lunchboxes with some ice packs. If you unpack them from the boxes, they wont take up too much room so you wont need something massive.
