Counselling - did you find it useful?

Unexplained infertility, we're being seen by a fertility clinic but not eligible for IVF just yet. Been offered counselling - just wondered if anyone's done this via their fertility clinic and if you found it useful or what sort of things they did/said?

I've had one session so far and found it useful to vent all the feelings and thoughts going through my mind. And because it was through the fertility clinic, they understand the background and you dont need to explain the situation.

Our clinic included one counselling session per cycle, and we found it incredibly helpful. After unsuccessful cycles we felt lost, with no one who really understood what we were going through. We were so grateful for the support that we continued counselling privately afterwards.
Looking back, we think counselling before treatment would have been just as valuable, to prepare mentally for all possible outcomes.
In short: it’s absolutely worth it. I genuinely don’t think I could have coped with this process without counselling.
