My clinic has advised me to take cyclogest pessaries, 800mg (2 pessaries ) three times a day. So two pessaries vaginally in the morning, two pessaries rectally midday and two more vaginally at the end of the day.
i am having my first FET. In my previous fresh transfer I was only on 800mg daily.
is this high dose normal?

Hmm.. 800 is the most common from what I’ve read (and from my 5 rounds at 2 clinics), I’ve heard slight variations on this, but I must say I’ve never heard of such a high dose as you’re on. Do you have specific needs maybe or a history that indicates it? Otherwise I would for sure ask them what research they have based their doses on.

That does seem like a lot. For my recent transfer I was on 3 pessaries a day and 1 injection. Not sure what amount that would make. But mine was such because I had my levels checked 2 days before transfer and they were lower than optima so I increased. Have you had your levels checked?

Thanks both for replying. I am going to query it as I can’t find anything online to suggest this is a regular dose. They never even checked my progesterone levels for my failed fresh transfer so nothing to indicate I have low levels. So confused!
