Any positives with a day 3 fresh transfer?

Hi, I’ve just had my first day 3 embryo transfer, 2 were transferred. I’m aware that their grade from day 3 may not hold much value but would be interested in hearing any positive stories from a day 3 transfer

What grade where they? X

So I didn’t really understand the grades but she said there was one she would grade as just under 1 (had 10 cells and less than 5% fragmentation) then the other a 2 (had 6 cells and less than 15% fragmentation). I’m 43 so I’m not sure I can expect good quality really

Ok I have everything crossed for. You it’s soo hard not knowing the known I am currently on tablets preparing for FET embryo transfer x

I had a fresh double transfer of 2 Day 3 embryos and ended up with 1 amazing DS. I then transferred my remaining frozen 2 Day 3 embryos together in an FET and that sadly ended in a miscarriage 😢.

I personally don’t think it makes as big a difference as people say whether the embryos are Day 3 or Day 5 as such - the main thing is whether they are healthy (euploid) and unfortunately you can’t test that before transfer with Day 3 embryos.

I was 40 when I made my 4 embryos, so afaik the stats say on average I had about a 1 in 4 chance of a healthy embryo - and sure enough out of my 4 there was DS. So the most likely reason for my miscarriage was that the other/s that implanted weren’t euploid.

DS will sadly be an only now as I’ve just turned 44 so I’m too old to try again with another fresh round - but at 43 you stand a slightly better chance OP, so 🤞for you that one of the embryos you implanted is a euploid one. Good Luck!🍀

No I didn’t. I didn’t eat anything you wouldn’t be allowed to if pregnant but nothing specific.

@LilyEmmelinetotally, with my previous rounds for my little boy I had plenty of eggs and 9 embryos in total so we did PGTA on 7 of them and got 3 euploids. I’m now at a clinic abroad where they don’t particularly see the benefit in testing, maybe because I’ll never get to the point of producing enough for it to be worth it. So clinging on to any hope I can! Xx

First ever transfer i did was a 3 day embryo, she is now 11. my beta was suppose to be 13dpt but at 11 dpt I started spotting and rang my clinic and they told me to test at home right away and then come in to the clinic the next day to do early beta so I guess I did test early but not super early. And my 4yr old son was a 3 day embryo and I did test early with him and got a negative , I tested at 6dp3dt and that was negative , I ended up testing a faint positive on day 9..

@Miraclemuma03thanks for that. For my little boy he was a 5 day transfer and I showed a faint positive with him 5dp5dt, which in my head would be like 7dp3dt. I’m now 8 days past and negative so I think I’m just scrapping around for any hope of it potentially changing.

I felt the same with my son when I had negative on 7dp3dt but waited 2 days and got a faint line at 9dp3dt , honestly i think it would have been negative if I tested at 8dpt or the line would have been so faint I would have thought it be an evap lol. I dont want to get your hopes up but just wait one more day and see what happens.

I’m still negative today unfortunately 🥺 I’ve squinted hard to see if there was anything but absolutely nothing. I might just leave it for a couple of days now or maybe just leave it until test day xx

Both my kids are fresh day 3 transfers. Both grade 1, 8 cells. I didn’t test positive untill 9-10 days after transfer.

My 2 FET’s failed, one miscarriage at 9 weeks and one failed transfer.

I started spotting yesterday but only when I wiped, I have been in the depths of google and chatgpt and have said that its 1 of three things, irritation from pessaries, implantation or my period trying to break through. Ive been holding out hope that its late implantation. My OTD is sunday & we're in a hotel from tomorrow until sunday for our anniversary so my anxiety is through the roof. I have been testing negative but this morning on SMU I was near sure there was a shadow. But I put it down to evap & dumped the test.
The waiting really does drive you crazy.
Clinic today just said could be from pessaries or period. Didn't mention possible implantation which put a massive dampener on me.

@Nmmck93i had someone tell me that on 11dp for them they started spotting and clinic told them to test and she got a positive…so could be a good sign.
I had cramping 3-4 days after my transfer then nothing, then a bit the other day. But I normally get my period before my test date so we’ll see how it goes. Good luck to you! 🤞🏾

@MammaKGi think im out, the 'spotting' has turned more red than pink & its started making its way to a panty liner. I dont think its worked & we only had one embryo.
To say im heartbroken is an understatement. Clinic just wants to accept the test on Sunday but I know now its done.
