Question about natural FET and OPK

Sorry this may sound ridiculous. I'm having my first natural fet and have never done ovulation testing before. I always thought once you get a positive test that means you've ovulated, but Google tells me its usually a positive test, then ovulation actually happens around 24 hrs later for most people.

The nurses at my clinic have told me my transfer will be 5 days after my positive test, another has told me its 5 days after ovulation. I assumed this was the same thing so I'd transfer 5 days after a positive test. Now I know positive test doesn't = ovulation has happened, I'm confused. Can anyone confirm if its transfer 5 days after the positive test, or would it be 5 days from ovulation being confirmed at my scan?

I am pretty sure it’s 5 days from the surge / positive LH test. However you should be having scans to check progress. I didn’t even make it to the surge because I’d been scanned and they predicted I was going to ovulate earlier than I’d anticipated xx

I had my first scan on wednesday and she took a good 15 mins scanning me and measuring. She told me to go again today then I'd have scans every other day until my surge. I went back today and it was a different nurse scanning. She probably spent 2 mins scanning me, gave me the same follicle size as I was given wednesday, then told me thats it now until I have a positive test.
I queried the follicle size and she said I was wrong, the follicle was definitely not the same size as Wednesdays scan. Asked about further scans and was told its not necessary. So tbh I walked out of there feeling a bit pissed off that we have paid a lot for this, yet I was rushed in and out of the room and apparently have no more scans

I’m not surprised you are pissed off @Whowhatwhere21this would annoy me too. When I was close to ovulation my clinic did daily scans and blood tests. I believe the blood tests gave a good indicator too of when I would ovulate. They then didn’t have me start progesterone until they had scanned to confirm ovulation had actually happened. I never got a positive ovulation test strip at home as for some reason these strips just don’t work for me (maybe I drink too much water). I would push back to your clinic.

My paperwork says scans every other day at least, the 1st scan nurse and the nurse who did my protocol appointment also said the same. I did hear one of the nurses say to my nurse ' wow is this your last scan, you've got through yours quick today.' So i Feel like she spent 2 mins scanning me so she could boot me out and bugger off home quickly.

She also told me to only test once on my first morning wee, yet everything I've read online says twice a day and not the first wee. I've never had to do testing before so I'm totally clueless and panicking I'm going to miss my surge. I've left a voicemial hoping to speak to another nurse but haven't heard back yet.
Wednesday cd10 i was told 12mm was my biggest, friday I was told the same. She said Wednesdays was probably around 8 not 12 so I'm not close to ovulation. So either Wednesdays nurse told me incorrectly, Or Friday nurse spent such little time checking, that shes actually measured my follicles wrong
