Success stories with 3rd embryo?

Our second embryo transfer failed, found out at the weekend and I'm struggling to stay positive.

Please share your success stories if your third worked!

I know it's just hearsay and anecdotal really, the stats are the stats....but it would make me feel better hearing from people who had two fails and then a success!

We are so so so lucky to have 6 on ice but I am worried something is wrong. I'm 35.

We have had five transfers in total (and four egg collections). We had miscarriage, chemical and then two BFNs. Fifth was a BFP and currently 26 weeks 🙏 good luck and keep the faith 😊

Also sorry, should have said I am really sorry about your failed transfers. It's truly heartbreaking and a form of grief not many people understand. 6 on ice is amazing so I would have thought the odds were in your favour 🙏

Thank you @FancyGoose I'm so glad you got there in the end and that does give me some hope!! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. It's so hard to pull myself together and carry on at work etc as like you say it's a form of grief that's not massively recognised xx

Thank you @Klmno. There were definitely dark times when I didn't think it would ever happen for us so I do understand how you feel. I hope you manage to have a restful christmas and that 2026 is the year your dreams come true. ❤️

My 3rd transfer has been successful after my first 2 ended in MC - currently 9+4 and had 2 scans so far everything is going okay! Hang in there xx

About to go with final embryo in mid-Jan. 1st was MMC, 2nd didn’t implant. Took 3 cycles to get these 3 Precious embryos as two cycles ended in total failed fertilisation.

Hi OP, I’m also 35. First transfer ended in MMC at 9 weeks just before Christmas 2 years ago and it was heartbreaking, the second was a BFN, the third is sleeping in the next room to me now ready to wake up to her first Christmas tomorrow. It’s such a hard journey but wishing you every luck and success, it really is possible! 💐

My first embryo transfer was the only embryo created from our first try at IVF. I didn't even get to pregnancy test day.
Our second try at IVF created 2 embryos. The first one didn't survive past 6 weeks. The second embryo, our third transfer, is now 3 years old. I was also 35.
Wishing you all the best with it, I found IVF absolutely agonising.

Good luck for january @PlanBFertility . I think I will also be doing a transfer. Then some investigations if it doesn't work.

In 2021 we did 1 cycle which gave me 3 embryos, we did a fresh transfer and froze the rest, we miscarried at 9 weeks with the fresh transfer, our second embryo didnt survive thaw and the last embryo didnt work. We went on to have a second ivf cycle and did a day 3 embryo transfer and that one stuck and we froze 3 embryos, we had our son in feb 2022. We did another fet in 2022 and we ended with an angel baby early 2023, we did another transfer and ended up with a healthy 2024 baby.

We had 4 transfers in total (2 collections). Miscarriage, BFN, BFN (with 2 grade A embryos) then a BFP, I now have a beautiful 21 month old son.
I was 39 conceiving, 40 having him. Don’t give up hope :)
