Continued Negative HPS’s but HcG 108???

Im 8dp5dt and at OTD. I’ve been testing since 3dpt and all BFN’s this is on FR and CB early detection up until this morning. However, clinic called to say HcG is 108 and congratulations. I did another test and still BFN. I don’t feel pregnant. I feel like there’s been a mix up at the clinic or something.

This was a double embryo transfer. I’m so confused 🫤

Hi, how confusing. The beta test is most accurate and 108 is a positive but I'm confused as to why none of your tests are picking this up...sorry no great insights here I just wanted to respond as feel for you after all those bfns then a beta positive your head must be spinning! Have your tests been different ones? Do you test at same time? Have you a second beta booked to check for hcg doubling? Sorry that's a lot of questions. Did clinic give any insights? Sending a hand hold.

Day 8 after transfer is still early - lots don't test till 14 days after transfer so maybe tests just not picking up but beta is more sensitive?

This must be so confusing for you. Your tests with a beta of 108 at 8dpt should be showing positive. 2 things could be occurring, 1. Your hcg hormone is not filtering through your urine, which is rare. 2. Your blood work was mixed up. Id be asking for a second beta hcg blood test to be on the safe side.

PeacockMonster · 18/12/2025 07:17

I’ve asked for a second beta, hopefully this will be done tomorrow. I would prefer today however. I’ve used two espérate packs of FR, two CB early and one CB digital and all negative. I’ve tested in the morning and evening and all negative. Honestly I’ve never been so confused in all my life.

I have a repeat blood draw this morning at 11am. Shitting myself. Fingers crossed it’s still a strong positive.

I will provide an update here ☺️

Just thought I’d add that I’m 9dp5dt and still a BFN on HPT. It’s a CB early detection in case anyone is interested. Stark white and not even a hint.

Do you get same day results. This is so totally bizarre.

PeacockMonster · 18/12/2025 11:45

@Miraclemuma03 The courier is collecting the vials at 4pm and my Dr said usually results will be next day but I’ll get mine this evening. He thinks I’m being pedantic as it’s something he sees often. My head definitely hurts with this one.

Me and another woman had beta bloods yesterday. Me in the morning and her later on. They said there’s no way our results could have gotten mixed up.

These are my current bloods. I’ll post the others later.

Just to update. My result is negative. It was a typing error at the lavatory. I knew something wasn’t right. Always trust your gut. Could you imagine if I was on my medication for 6 weeks until my scan only to find out I wasn’t actually pregnant. It’s very careless of the lab.

Im not even upset as I knew all along. I even stopped my medication only to resume once I received bloodwork. Now I can finally stop and have my period. Hopefully I’m not on at Christmas 🎄

@PeacockMonster Glad you've got the facts now but so sorry you had to go through this. That's so negligent of them. Hope they were suitably apologetic. Best wishes for the future.

PeacockMonster · 19/12/2025 07:25

@Sara237 Its ridiculous but I knew something wasn’t quite right with the lab result. I’m also aware the hook effect usually happens much later on around week 11-12 when hCG levels explode for various reasons and can be within the range of 500k+.

O well, thanks for your support.
