Elevated thyroid antibodies/Immune protocols

Following on from a failed fresh and a chemical natural FET I’ve had some extra bloods done. It turns out I have elevated thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb), the range is 0-115 but mine is 317. Which suggests an autoimmune condition. Has anyone had similar? Did your consultant add in an immune protocol for the next transfer?

Hi, sorry to hear about your failed transfer and chemical, its really tough going through all that.

I have elevated thyroid peroxidase antibodies and my fertility consultant ran NK cell testing as they're often related apparently, it came back with high levels if NK cells in pregnancy and I took steroids in thr run up to IVF transfers. I didn't have any particular issues with the steroids and came off them at 14 weeks pregnant (now 28 weeks)

I was also on steroids for a FET that failed, bur 2nd one worked, same immune protocol

@Orangewillow oh that’s interesting! I did ask about NK testing at my previous consultation with a different consultation and she basically said we don’t need to do it because we have an existing child. I’m going to ask about it at the follow up on Tuesday as that’s a different consultant.

Purely out of curiosity what was the immune protocol they put you on? I’ve seen about prednisone and some people are also put on doxycycline.

I’ve also done a miscarriage and thrombotic profile but those results take a bit longer. I think if those show anything you’re also put on clexane

There's a lot of differences of opinion about NK testing anyway, but I'd been told a previous pregnancy could proceed fine anyway (as if your levels are a bit elevated you might be ok anyway) or it can kick off an immune response - I had a previous pregnancy that ended in TFMR and had the immune testing done when we were TTC again without any luck, I think my main problem was uterine scarring through, but who knows if it was both!

I was on prednisolone tablets. Initially my plan had been intralipid infusions but my levels got a bit higher so consultant decided the steroid tablets were better for me.
