For those who have done FET at CRGH - do you remember how often you had to have scans? Just trying to plan ahead for work leave / life plans. Thanks

Hey. It depends on whether you have a natural cycle transfer or medicated. I had a natural transfer which meant more scans from what I understand. I had a baseline scan Day 2. Then from Day 9 they scanned me and took bloods every other day till I got closer to ovulation then it was daily till I ovulated. I think in total I had about 8 scans including baseline. Good luck with your transfer 🙏x

Thanks so much that’s helpful! 8 scans is a lot. I’ve had two natural FETs at another clinic and had about 4-5 scans I think and no bloods. Hopefully the extra monitoring will help though!

Yeh I won't lie I was struggling towards the end! It is a lot. Not to mention the bruises on my arms. But yeh crgh have been very thorough and I much prefer the closer monitoring. They want to know exactly when you ovulate. Means transfer day is more accurate. Good luck x

Thanks! Sorry to ask another question but were the scans generally in the morning like the stims ones? My last clinic stims were morning and so they did FET ones in the afternoon. Guessing CRGH might want morning if they need blood results back though! Such a nightmare planning.all this around with especially after multiple rounds. X

No worries! My scans were mostly around midday. I think they prefer morning but as we had to travel they made exceptions. I had scans ranging from 10am to 3pm. Blood results become more important on the day as you get closer to ovulation so maybe that's why they allowed me later ones. They test for progesterone incase they miss ovulation on the scan and then call you to confirm next scan. But you got to start LH testing from around day 9 and if positive need to go in same day. I know what you mean it's not easy arranging the time off! My work don't know we're doing ivf, we live far away and I can't work from home so I ended up taking 2.5 weeks off work for the transfer. I didn't want the stress. Luckily work have been supportive x
