Hey! I had my first transfer on Monday. It was a day 3 transfer, as I'm a low AMH-er Anyone else in the TWW for a 3DT?

How soon did you test? X

My very first ivf cycle my transfer was a day 3 embryo. I waited until OTD to test and it was a positive, that little one is now 11. When I was trying for my now nearly 4yr old son he was also a 3 day embryo transfer and i didnt get the faintest of faint lines until 9dp3dt and it didnt get much darker by 11dpt .

Hello @GingerRCD I had a 5 day transfer on the Monday just gone- my OTD is the 24th. I will probably test before then, but on my previous two failed transfers my period has started before test day so I may not get that far. How have you found it so far?

Hi @YourTipsyDog Ahh, so we're almost in the same boat, then! My blood test date is 21st Nov, is yours an at-home test?

I had my first "symptoms" yesterday which was tiredness and a pulling sensation in my womb (4 dpt), but today, I feel quite period-y to be honest. Those kind of sensations in my back and tummy that I get about a week before a period. We'll see...

How are you getting on? X

@GingerRCD Yes it’s an at-home one, but I am expecting that if it’s not been successful my period will probably start before then.

I don’t think I’ve had any symptoms other than feeling very emotional. I don’t think symptoms are either good or bad though; my first cycle I had some and it failed, second cycle I had none and it still failed. It’s a mystery…and not a very enjoyable one!x

@YourTipsyDog I hear you! The whole thing is just the roughest ride. I underestimated how much this journey would break me.

Even symptoms could just be the drugs or stress of it all.

You too @GingerRCD it’s nice to have some company. I also underestimated it. I had no idea how many aspects of my life it would affect.

Have you got any good distraction techniques?x

@YourTipsyDog I would say wine, but that's out! I need to put some things in the calendar for next week for sure, because I don't currently have much on next week to distract me. What about you? X

I’m in the same boat really, not much planned. I just want to know the result one way or another, I’m no good at not knowing! I think at the beginning I felt quite positive but as time passes and I don’t have any symptoms I find it hard to believe that’s it’s worked x

@YourTipsyDog I'm exactly the same! I wish there were some miracle test you could take early that tells you whehther or not implantation has occurred!

Will you test early? I'm thinking of testing in the morning... x

I’ve been having the exact same debate in my head @GingerRCD 🤣 I think that it’s good to start letting myself down early, but equally is ignorance bliss? I just don’t know!

@GingerRCD@YourTipsyDogI’m in the same boat. I had my 5dt on the 10th from my first fresh cycle. I had all kinds of symptoms last week, and then they suddenly vanished! So odd. ChatGPT has honestly reassured me a lot that all these shifting symptoms are normal — more helpful than DH, to be honest 🤫😂
My clinic doesn’t do beta testing, so my OTD is the 24th. Have you tested yet?

Hi @thddkssk I haven’t and my OTD is the same as yours. I was wondering whether to test this morning but I decided that I couldn’t deal with the crushing disappointment today

I was really tempted to test over the weekend but since it’s been a week now I’m telling myself I can hold out for one more, only a little longer to go! 🤞

@YourTipsyDog Oh no, I’m so sorry. I can’t speak from my own experience, but is there any chance it could be implantation bleeding? A friend of mine actually had it around 10dp and still ended up with a positive. Don’t lose hope just yet. I’m really rooting for you.

@thddkssk it was only a tiny bit of blood but it’s the familiar period pains that make me think it’s on its way. I would love to be positive but I think I end up thinking the worst to protect myself. I’ll still have everything crossed for you and @GingerRCD thank you for your kind message xx

Hey @YourTipsyDog I'm really sorry to hear that. IVF is the just the hardest experience. I know what you mean, we just know our bodies so well. I wish it could have turned out differently this time. Have you got much on to take your mind off of things a bit?

I'm in the same boat, my body is clearly gearing up for a period. I just have that period-y feeling in my womb, I have a huge spot on my face, I'm irritable and feel like my hormones are raging.

What are your next steps? Be gentle on yourself xxx

@YourTipsyDogPeriod-like symptoms don’t really tell you much. They can happen whether your period is coming or whether the transfer worked. And it’s only 8dp, so it would be pretty early for a true period to break through while you’re on progesterone.

Try to stay hopeful 🤞🏻I’m really hoping today’s bleed turns into a good sign by tomorrow. Hang in there!

@thddkssk Wishing you all the best in this cycle! I actually think no symptoms can be a positive sign. You could do a home pregnancy test now - you're equivalent to 13DPO so you'd likely get a positive result if you've been successful xx

To be honest, I’m scared to test in case it’s negative. I don’t think I’m ready for that. Now I can see why people say TTW is the worst part of the journey. It’s just never easy. I really hope we all get our happy ending.

@thddkssk You are right, I think I’m trying to prepare myself though. I’ve had no more signs of my period today. However, my period did break through the progesterone last time two days before my OTD so it can happen.
