Missed estradiol dose post-embryo transfer

Hi, I had my first frozen embryo transfer on Monday (a day 3 transfer). I'm a low-AMHer with only 3 embryos in total.

I counted my estradiol tablets tonight and think I must have missed my second dose earlier today (so, I've only had one this morning and one this evening). Obviously, I'm stressing. Has this happened to anyone else? What do the clinics say? I've had a lot on my plate personally this week and in all the stress, I've forgotten. I'm so annoyed at myself.

Thanks in advance xx

I dont think a singe missed does will make a difference.

I was worried about doing this too, so I drew a grid on the packet in sharpie with 3 tablets in each ‘area’ so then I could be sure I had definitely taken 3 a day.

As I understand it, with both types of hormones it's all about building up a good level in your system, so the odd missed dose isn't the end of the world. I have four estradiol through the day and I missed my two morning ones and only realised at midday; they said not to take them late but just to wait until the evening and not to worry. I also had to miss one of my progesterone doses because I ran out, and I could tell I'd missed it, but it was ok.

Good luck!

Second poster’s sharpie suggestion is what I do on pill packets too, also phone alarms just to get into your rhythm.

and agree with the idea that it’s about building up levels. If you’re really worried call a clinic nurse, it can be good just to have reassurance From someone medical even if it’s the same advice.

good luck from another low AMHer.

Thank you so much for your replies. The reassurance, tips and best wishes mean a lot. It's such a tough journey, isn't it? It's good to have these forums for support along the way! X
