FET with an emptier bladder

Has anyone done a transfer and not had a full bladder that was successful? We got stuck in traffic on the way and ended up being stuck for 2.5 hours so by the time I got to the clinic I needed to let some out as I would have wet myself anyway 😂 in the transfer she made a comment about how my bladder wasn’t full and visibility wouldn’t be great for me on the screen (which is fine). However now I’m panicking the visibility wasn’t great for her either. Although she has reassured me everything went smoothly. But I’m still panicking 🙄

Don’t worry @Cornish13 , she’d never have gone ahead if she couldn’t see properly. The clinic want you to be pregnant for their stats, and wouldn’t risk it over something like that. they’d have waited an hour for your bladder to fill a bit more if it had been a problem. Good luck in the coming days 🌞

Perfectly fine honestly. Its actually better to go in not being busting and uncomfortable as the fluid builds back up into your kidneys and can cause other issues and make the procedure much harder to get through.

Yes I back what @Miraclemuma03 says, on one transfer they made me empty two cups from my bladder!

@aLogLady that’s very true! I didn’t even think about the stats side of things 😂 I suppose we are just a statistic to them. As I’ve done an access fertility plan so it’s not like they’ll continue to get loads of money out of me. I’m feeling better about it today! I think it was in the moment panic because last time I had a print off image of when the blast went in (the bright white light) but I didn’t this time. So I emailed and she said it was because the image wasn’t clear enough. She did assure me and said as long as there is no resistance on the catheter which there wasn't and the embryo isn't still in the catheter then it's in the right place. And that is there there was any resistance she wouldn't have continued and there's nowhere else for the Blastocyst to go. They’ve probably had enough of me by now 😂

@Miraclemuma03 ah perfect! She said during the procedure how everything has gone lovely etc. it was very quick and painless. Well as I’ve been doing the pessaries vaginally I think she had to do a quick clean out 😂 which felt like a smear. But fingers crossed anyway 🤞🏻

Don't worry, they clean everyone out before the procedure hahaha I actually didnt feel it this time.

Cornish13 · 02/11/2025 23:15

@Miraclemuma03 well I didn’t feel it at all last time as I suppose there wasn’t much to clean as I had been doing the pessaries the back end. This time however I’ve felt wild and switched it to the front so she had to clear that out 😂 so I definitely felt it this time haha

I also had a frozen transfer last week, on the third. How are you feeling @Cornish13 ?

Cornish13 · 11/11/2025 22:28

@CR7 90% sure I’m having a chemical. Negative day 4 and 5. Tested today on day 10 and had very faint positives on a clear blue and boots. Tested this evening on a clear blue and stark negative 😔

Day 4 could still have been trigger as that is still way too early for most people to get a positive result especially if negative the next day. Your not out until your OTD.
