BFP IVF- now waiting for the 1st scan!

Hi, just wondered if anyone else that had survived the TWW and is now waiting for the 1st scan wants to join me in a group. I know there are some other groups with BFP etc but they all seem to be further on in pregnancy and I just tested this week and got BFP, OTD is tomorrow (yes I tested early 🫣) so I have to email with results and they post me out a scan date which they say is around 4 weeks from the result …! 4 weeks .. ahh I don’t think I can wait that long. Anyone else waiting ?

A little bit about me - 7th transfer from 3rd round of IVF / ICSI, had 6 miscarriages- 2 natural conception and 4 from our IVF treatment , 4 were chemicals 2 were at week 10 and week 11 heart beat stopped ! So really nervous (although grateful for the postive result) really anxious as I know just cause it’s a postive now doesn’t mean it will stay that way .. but here’s hoping .. 7th time lucky huh ?

I have had a few cramps on and off - quite sore 5/10 pain sometimes and just wondered if anyone else is cramping so much this early on ?

My daughter was ivf. She’s 16 months now but I had cramps early on. It felt exactly like my period coming so I was certain the ivf hadn’t worked and I was about to get my period. Was so shocked when I did the test. I think the cramping is the embryo burrowing in and implanting. Could be wrong though. Congratulations!

Congratulations on the positive test. Fingers xd that transfer #7 is the one that get a baby in your arms. Il be doing a transfer on wednesday and going through my 2ww.

@ACR7 thanks .. that puts my mind at ease , never had the cramps feel like this on the other pregnancies I had .. so I did wonder, that’s amazing your little one is now 16 month .. I hope you are enjoying all the baby cuddles🥰

How are you feeling today? Hopefully your nerves have calmed a little and your looking forward to your first scan.

Im nervous. Just want the transfer and 2ww over and done with to know what the outcome will be already lol. But iv decided im just going to try and get through the 2ww as if nothing has happened and I wont be testing until my beta day.

@Miraclemuma03 not long now till your transfer ! Are you doing a FET or fresh ? Will you be on any medication ? I am on progesterone pessarys and blood thinner injections until 12 weeks.
Yeh I am ok thanks, it’s going to be a long wait ahh ! I think as I tested early, I got a faint line early on at 4dpt and could see the line getting that little bit thicker every day, so my tww didn’t seem so long or scary, but now the line is not really getting that much thicker I have nothing to reassure me things are going in the right direction if that makes sense , it’s like seeing the line progressing was my reassurance, I do have a clear blue which gives the weeks indicators so hopefully that will change to 3+ soon and that will give me a visual to see it’s still processing until the scan?! Other than that it’s just waiting and hoping! Someone really needs to invent a pee stick that tells the beta amount on a little digital display 😅.. I would buy these and test each day just so I could see the amount and am not left wondering. haha .. my cramps have stopped so not sure if that’s good or bad , my boobs are still sore so I wonder was the cramping just implantation?!

Its a fet. I took a trigger shot and am on vaginal progesterone capsules. Im so over them and they are messy and just really unpleasant.

Do you get a beta or you just had to ring on OTD saying a positive or negative and then wait for a scan?

That would be an awesome pregnancy test but from my knowledge hcg in urine is read differently then in blood stream.

I don’t get a beta this time, I have paid for private betas before as the line was faint and wasn’t sure but the fact it’s a strong line this time I don’t think I need to bother with the beta .. the clear blue moving up to week 3+ should indicate the rise and of not then I’ll worry 🫣😵‍💫..just had to email with results and get send appointment letter in the post when the scan will be .. it just said usually within 4 weeks of result so it will nor doubt arrive in the next few days 🤞🏽.. I could privately book an early but I’ll see how I go .. oh not heard of capsules before , I have pessaries that just dissolve, these are also messy. Hope you are feeling ok after your trigger shot.

Its very different how different clinics and different countries do things. Our clinic tell us not to test and wait for beta and with a positive blod test we get a second one 7 days later and if all it well they book the scan the same day and email all your results along with scan app.

Officially pupo. Everything was nice and clear and was really quick and everything went smoothly.

@Miraclemuma03 did you have your transfer ? OMG that’s so exciting .. I thought it was today .. woop .. now the tww.. when is your OTD? will you test early at all ? I got a faint at 4dp6dt .. I just tested again this morning and the control line is now lighter than the test line .. it’s 14dp6dt for me now .. not quite a dye stealer but defo just getting there .. hopefully the clear blue weeks indicator will change to 3+ when I do it at the weknd as I’ll be 5week on tomorrow .. 🤞🏽✨🙏

@AmberRose26 Congratulations on your BFP! I think you were on the October FET thread? So pleased for you. Now the 2ww is over it's the viability scan nerves...always something!

Hi @Sara237 yes I think it’s a harder wait than the TWW as with the TWW I was line checking every day and so that gave me reassurance .. now there is nothing apart from hope 😵‍💫 🤞🏽do you have a scan soon ? How are you feeling ? How many weeks are you .. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow .. I have to wait till 8 weeks so I have 3 weeks still to wait , I might book an early one but I will see how I go, so far I am managing to keep my mind busy.

Thank you. That sounds like your hcg is going in the right direction and sounds like your very close to a dye stealer. Im going to try not to test early and just try to go about my business like nothing has happened and try to get through the 2ww as well as possible.

@AmberRose26 The waiting never ends! I'm 6 weeks one day today. My clinic told me to have an early viability scan from 6 weeks so I'm having one Sunday, I wanted to go at 7 weeks but they don't have any dates...I'll be 6 wks plus 4 days. I'm feeling exhausted and permanently nauseous which I can only hold back by eating continuously! Other than that, all is well!

@sara ah not to long to wait then .. still will seem like forever! Best of luck for your scan, I have been feeling a bit tired and on and off slightly queezy but not had sickness, I am 5 weeks today so maybes still too early for sickness ? I know some people don’t get any at all though so will see. @Miraclemuma03 how are you feeling after you transfer ? Hope you are able to rest for a few days.

@AmberRose26 your definitely not too early to start showing signs of exhaustion and morning/all day sickness. By 6 weeks, alot of woman are in the thick of illness and some get HG.

I had some pretty awful cramping late last night, so not sure what that was about, but hopefully nothing bad or i should worry about. I usually get some cramping from progesterone but it was something different last night so now I feel maybe it's not worked but im only 2dpt so too early to know really.

Could it have been implantation cramping ? Hope you are ok and the cramping eases ! Sorry what is HG if you don’t mind me asking ?

hyperemesis gravidarum. Its extremely bad morning sickness that can begin as soon as implantation and can last the entire pregnancy and some woman have to be admitted to hospital for fluids and nutrients. Some woman just need medications.

I thought it would have been too early for implantation, it lasted for about 40mins and it dulled out. I havnt had it since.
