Did anyone have success with aspirin?

We had a failed fresh transfer at the beginning of September and now been given the go ahead for a natural frozen transfer at the end of this month.

We’re MFI and as far as we know I’m ok. Has anyone added in aspirin once they got their positive ovulation? Im
trying a couple of different things this time such as acupuncture, adding in Brazil nuts etc.

I haven’t had success yet but following with interest, as I have recently discovered I have a blood clotting issue so having to take blood thinners (including aspirin).

Hopefully someone with experience of it will come along. I wish you the best with your treatment x

I had IVF (male factor) and was told to take baby aspirin every day from before the frozen day 5 transfer. It was supposed to help supply blood to the uterus etc. My second transfer was a success and when I had my 12 week scan they diagnosed me with high predisposition of pre eclampsia so was advised to keep taking the baby aspirin until 36 weeks. I did and baby is now a healthy 5 month old!

I’ve used it every transfer I’ve had. First BFP (daughter now 3), second early miscarriage, third BFN and fourth BFP (son is 6 months old). My fertility doctor said he was a fan of it, and that in any case it couldn’t hurt, so I think worth trying x

@Cornish13let your clinic know you are adding aspirin. The affects need to be monitored. I was on aspirin to help with blood flow (despite all blood clotting tests being clear, more of an addition as it was my 3rd FET). I was advised to come off as I had been bleeding at 6 weeks gestation as it appeared to be making bleeding caused by a haematoma worse. All worked out well in the end and DC born.

@Sunflower360 will do 😊 my consultant wasn't against it, she just said there wasn’t enough evidence to show it improved outcomes. Interesting to know it made bleeding worse though. I actually have Raynaud’s so I have dodgy blood flow to my hands and feet so it’ll be interesting to see if it helps in anyway with that xx

Good idea! I did it from the transfer until the placenta took over at about 12 weeks. It was one a day, same dosage as you. Good luck x
