4th cycle of Letrozole

Hi all, we are just about to start our 4th cycle of Letrozole, Just wondering if anyone has fallen on the 4th cycle? Feeling really disappointed that the previous 3 haven’t worked. My cycles are 28 days, ovulating on day 14-15 and no success. im on 5mg of Letrozole has anyone be given an higher dosage and been successful just thinking maybe this something I could ask my clinic about? X

Hi @Hannahbond88 , I’m only on cycle 2 of 2.5mg no success yet. Interested to hear other replies. I feel like we’ll need IVF - I don’t have PCOS and ovulate on my own so wonder how much impact is actually having

Hi @Hannahbond88 I worked up to 7.5mg which is the highest they would put me on. It didn’t work unfortunately. All the best to you :)

@YourTipsyDog thank you for your comment I’m waiting to fertility clinic to all me back, so will see what they say. So sorry that it didn’t work for you! 😔 All the best for you to it’s a really hard journey to be on xx

Yes I started on 5mg, but don’t know if I need higher, I think I was ovulating on my own sometime before I started to take Letrozole, but I think some months with hit and miss!
I have had positive ovulation test each cycle with letrozole, that’s all I would say, but yes it thinking the same. I really hope that Letrozole does work for you with a few more cycles! All the best to you x

I’ve just had my progesterone blood test results back and it’s still way below 30 so I’m onto 5mg this cycle. Slightly losing home even though I’ve only done 2 cycles, but my progesterone seemed to be lower than pre letrozole which seems odd! I need to ask the doctor about it at my review appt.

@Muddysocks1 oh bless you! Good that they have put you on 5mg, hopefully that will be the boost your progesterone needs! Got it all crossed for you!
have now been in contact sigh fertility nutritionist just exploring all options while we still have 2 cycles of Letrozole left! But have our fingers crossed for this cycle. When I spoke with my fertility clinic, they told me that they wouldn’t up any more than 5 mg because it had been proven through the first month when they scanned and did blood ovulated!

I’ve started the 5mg so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I’m thinking the same as this is 3rd cycle of 6.. I imagine IVF is next step. I’m having acupuncture, and I think we might check husbands sperm more deeply (dna fragmentation)… because there must be more going on if it’s not happening!
