Blood Thinners

I have just been told I tested positive for an antibody that basically means I have “sticky blood” which is likely the reason for all my failed transfers.

has anyone else been told similar and gone on to have successful pregnancies via ivf (or natural!)

Hi, I have had 6 miscarriages and had the test for sticky bloods done after the 4th .. I had the 1st test come back as positive , then the 2nd test (they do two to determine the outcome) came back as normal .. so they take the 2nd test result and said I don’t have it after all , I did push however for the blood thinners even though they say I don’t need them and I am on Inhixa 6000 IU (60mg) injections once daily for my now 7th transfer , so we will see if this makes any difference I am only in the TTW just now .. I can keep you posted if I get success. Good luck for your journey whichever road you take !

When im pregnant I test positive for something to do with my blood being too thick and causing blood clots but only when im pregnant so no idea so have to be on blood thinners for this when pregnant until around 12 weeks post-partum. They are nasty things but are very helpful. Hopefully this helps to produce a successful outcome with your next transfer.

Thank you both for your responses.

@AmberRose26 so sorry. Must be tough to have had the miscarriages. Yes, please keep my posted. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Sending luck your way 🍀 🤞🏼

@Miraclemuma03 gosh, that is a long time but I suppose we’d do anything to ensure we can bring a healthy baby into this world! Thank you ☺️

My issue is just failed implantation so in a way, I’m hoping this is the cause so it can be fixed. It’s hard isn’t it?! So complex.
