HCG booster - test

Hello,

looking advice as I am very impatient. I am 12dpo and took a clear and simple test which came back with a strong line. Yesterday I took and internet cheapie strip which was much lighter. I took a HCG booster 5 days ago which won’t be out of my system yet but do you think the fact today is darker could mean I’m pregnant or not at all reliable as different tests? The internet cheapies are actually more sensitive than the clear and simple so I was shocked when it was so dark. Has anyone tested these two types together and know if they’re usually similar?

I would say 5 days after a booster is too early to test to get an accurate reading. The booster can last anywhere up to 10 to 12 days and can fluctuate.

@Miraclemuma03 thank you that’s good to know I didn’t know it could fluctuate. I am on cyclogest so it will delay my period so I have no way of knowing until I can take a reliable test at around 17dpo. I’ve taken another clear and simple and it’s much the same as yesterday so it’s not helping. I think I’ll just test the booster out but I know when I take a 5,000 trigger it takes 10 days so expecting much the same.

I guess if you want you can continue to test ever couple of days. The tests will either start to become quite dark over time which means your creating your own hcg due to pregnancy or lighten as the booster leaves your system.

@Miraclemuma03 thanks for the reply. Today’s test is darker than Sundays by quite a lot although now I have a complete other worry! My uterine microbimoe test has come back with really high gardenella so if I pregnant I’ll need loads of antibiotics which is scary as both bad bacteria and antibiotics seem to be a risk for miscarriage in early pregnancy. My clinic said to wait and see if I have a positive hcg Friday but with how dark it is I’d be surprised if it’s clear in two days.
