Thoughts on steroids?

I had my FET yesterday. When we started with the clinic in 2024 I told the doctor I'd had one test from a previous clinic indicating possible antiphospholipid syndrome (anti cardiolipid) after recurrent miscarriage. That clinic had had me on blood thinners prior to IUI. Doctor said no need to discuss until the day of transfer. Yesterday she said she'd prescribe thinners, but also steroids. I asked what they do and she said there was no evidence they would do any damage, but also wasn't clear how they helped. I wasn't expecting it and just feel a bit blindsided!

Any thoughts? I have had a google and it looks as if evidence is inconclusive at best.

I was on steroids from pre transfer until week 14 of my pregnancy, because of over active NK cells, which I'd been tested for. I believe some Dr's put people on them just in case as a sort of belt and braces approach. There's lots of differences of opinion and lots of doctors don't seem to hold any store in steroids, but for many people it's been the thing that made all the difference. My Dr is a reproductive immunology specialist and recommended I get the tests and was on the steroids, I'm pleased I did
