FET and thin lining

Hi everyone, I have my FET in two days and had a scan this morning. My lining has dropped to 7.3mm and I’m quite anxious as it’s on the thinner side, I was at 9.6mm before I started progesterone. My clinic is still going ahead with the transfer but I can’t help but feel anxious that it’s thin

any advise would be great or if you’ve been in the same position x

Could this be endometrial compaction? Where the lining compacts so looks thinner on scan but is really receptive/positive for implantation. It's the effect of the progesterone. Sorry you're worried but they're proceeding because you have good chances.

I only had a lining of only 6.2mm on my successful ivf transfer (the round before where I had a thicker lining failed)
I was also very anxious but my clinic advised me because the appearance of the lining looked ‘perfect’ in their experience this had more success than the thickness.

I was so worried and almost called off the round but decided to take my doctors advice and so thankful I did, as I now have my baby in my arms.

I had loads of issues with thin lining, on my successful transfer it was under 7mm when they said to trigger, my Dr said trilaminar appearance more important than thickness - their threshold is usually 7mm, so you're still over that and progesterone can mean it compacts- if they're happy to go ahead, I would go with it! Good luck

Hi everyone thank you so much for your replies, feeling a bit more better after reading your responses, the trilaminar was a bit more easily visible in the scan before I started progesterone, I know the look of the lining changes after progesterone is introduced. My doctor didn’t really comment otherwise he was just trying to find a good place on the scan to measure. They have also increased my progesterone to including prolutex injection 😬

It is normal for progesterone to compact the lining down. Most clinics won’t measure the lining after starting progesterone for this reason. Google ‘Endometrial compaction’.
