My partner and I have had 2 rounds at Chelsea and Westminster which didn't work out. For the next round we need to find a new clinic as they don't offer PGT-A

Has anyone been to any of these combinations? If so which would you recommend? Any Consultant in particular you would recommend?

Thanks :)

I was at the Lister Chelsea under Dr Thum, who I really like, the other consultations there are lovely too, esp Ben Jones. I was happy with the treatment I had there - my 2nd transfer was successful and I'm now 20 weeks so I'm probably a bit biased - but I found Dr thum great, when things weren't working so well he had lots of suggestions but also listened to us. I did find appointments there for scans and to speak to nurses often ran late, and pharmacy waits were often long, but the staff and treatment were great

Hi OP. Sorry to hear your previous cycles didn’t work out. I have low AMH and currently 25 weeks pregnant from my second cycle (and transfer) at the Lister in Chelsea, under Dr Gavin Kemball. What I liked about Dr Kemball was he was quite open minded and not dismissive of my suggestions. He listened when I suggested to add growth hormone to the second cycle (although my husband also underwent varicocele repair so we’ll never know what made the difference or just pure luck). I read on forums that other clinic consultants can be quite dismissive when couples make suggestions to tweak medications. Having said that, I found Dr Jaya Parikh to be sooo kind and just lovely and caring. If I’ll do it again, I’ll probably choose her instead. I might be biased because she did our successful transfer but she was just super nice and friendly when we met her, in comparison to the consultant who did our first transfer who was just quiet and a bit cold throughout the whole procedure. I also met Dr Ben Jones (he did my first egg collection) and he was nice too. I’ve read here on mumsnet that all cases are discussed as a team at the Lister. So from a protocol perspective, it doesn’t really matter which consultant you choose because protocols are discussed by the team or at least with the clinical lead (Dr. Nicopoullos). As pp mentioned, wait times can be long for scans, longest I waited was 45 mins. And pharmacy waiting is super long too at times. Nurses respond quickly to emails although I found that nurses are mainly for admin queries only. They always seem a bit unsure if you ask anything clinical. For clinical questions, it’s better to ask your consultant directly (we were able to email Dr Kemball directly). Lister also do egg collections at weekends and bank holidays (except Christmas I think) unlike other clinics. Although I was told by one of the theatre nurses that they’d avoid booking you in for Sunday as that’s just for urgent cases. Overall, I do recommend Lister Chelsea. Best of luck!
