Hi all
My anxiety has been through roof after previous chemical loss with 5 day donor embryo transfer.
This transfer i did not test early with pregnancy test so completed day 12 today and got this result. I want to be happy but worried about beta blood levels in 3 days time still.
Is it a strong line (lighter line) on an early sensitive 10ml hcg test.

Hi @Peartree44, i don't know much about these specific tests but it's a positive line for sure!

I don't think the strength of lines means a whole lot, it seems to vary for so many reasons. I'm now nearly 19 weeks with an IVF baby and on test day I got a positive result on a digital test and barely a line at all on a strip test.

I've read so many things about variation in tests and line darkness that don't necessarily mean much at all. If you're doing beta bloods that will hopefully give you more info, and reassurance, will you do a scan at around 6 weeks without clinic? The early days waiting after test day are so hard, but gentle congratulations and hope your anxiety isn't too bad!

Hi Orangewillow
Thank you for response. You're right I'm becoming fixated with strength of line as previous ivf cycle faint line ended chemical loss. However I have beta blood test Monday and the next one 48 hrs after so that's the main thing, good or as expected levels of hcg! It's so many hurdles.
Congratulations to you though, that's brilliant 19 weeks. How have you found process, scans, etc medications? I will be on progesterone, clexane and asprin daily.... But hopefully all worth it. Hope you're doing well. ❤️

Hope all goes well with your beta tests! If you can, don't do more pregnancy tests as I think they can cause a lot of anxiety and now its a case of getting through the next stage, beta and then early scan.

Thank you so much! First couple of weeks were very anxious, especially as I had constant spotting, we did a scan at 6+1 at my ivf clinic and luckily we saw a heartbeat then. I did a couple of early scans at the clinic before we graduated from there. I was nervous to come off progesterone (for me that was 14 weeks) and prednisolone, started Weaning off around 14 weeks as well, so now I'm completely off meds and all going fine thankfully. I was v nervous for the NHS dating scan around 12 weeks (we lost a previous baby to a TFMR at 14 weeks) but was fine, and we managed to get an extra 16 week scan because of my history, and the extra scans have helped a lot with feeling more secure. Not always easy to get on the NHS and we have paid for a few, which was well worth it for me
